Uhlig Elected Vice Chairman of IDC

Springfield, IL – The Illinois Development Council (IDC) held its 2010 Annual Conference at the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Bloomington/Normal, IL on July 14-16. At this year’s conference Kim Uhlig, Business Development Director for the Morton Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Council was elected Vice Chairman of IDC.

IDC is involved in professional education and development, cooperative marketing programs and government advocacy. Prior to her election as Vice Chairman, Uhlig served as IDC’s Treasurer and served a term as an at-large director of the Association.

Before becoming the Business Development Director in Morton, earlier this year, Kim was Economic Development Director for the City of Park Ridge, Director of Planning and Development for the City of Pekin and the City of Chillicothe. 

The Illinois Development Council is a not for profit trade organization which strives to build relationships, professionalism and a positive atmosphere in which to create jobs and wealth in Illinois.
