YPET Selects Morton for North American Operations

Morton, IL – Today, the Morton Economic Development Council announced that Chinese  German Joint Venture company Yinlun PURItech Emission Technologies, Inc. (YPET) has selected Morton for their US operations.  They will be housed with Yinlun Machinery and plan to begin production in May.

PURItech is a global supplier of diesel emission control products and filter cleaning and detection devices headquartered in Waldshut-Tiengen, Germany.  They have been delivering Diesel Particulate Filter systems and Diesel Particulate Cleaning Systems across Europe and America for the past 15 years.

PURItech distinguishes itself through many years of experience in the field of exhaust gas treatment and emission reduction applied in diesel engines. With innovative, market-driven and reliable high-quality products, PURItech is one of the top specialists for the treatment of exhaust gas in the European market. Particularly the versatile know-how in “diesel particle filter technology” as well as extensive experience in the equipment of commercial vehicles, construction and work machines, transit buses and off-road machinery, is their company’s main focus of expertise.  Their clients include such prestigious firms as Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Volvo, Terex, Liebherr, Atlas Copco, Siemens and, CNH.

PURItech joins Yinlun Machinery, China’s leading manufacturer of heat exchange products and a strategic supplier to Caterpillar, in this new joint venture that will enable both companies to work collectively to develop emission control products for the North American markets. 

While YPET has a sales office in California, their Morton location will be considered their company’s North American Headquarters.  They plan to use a local supply chain for the production of parts needed to assemble and distribute their emission control products throughout the United States.

YPET is the third international company that in recent years has chosen Morton for their United States headquarters.  They join Yinlun and Baolai in their selection of Morton as an ideal location for development of their North American markets.  "We are eager to welcome YPET to Morton and to assist them in achieving great success here in Central Illinois,” said Brad Braker, President of the Board of Directors for the Morton EDC.
